A four-part online seminar series on the use of the Green Book planning support system is currently offered for professionals within District Municipalities. The online seminar series takes participants through the Green Book Risk Profiler tool, Adaptation Action tool, climate adaptation mainstreaming, as well as the extraction and utilisation of all spatial data, actions, and findings.

The National Disaster Management Centre (NDMC), as an official partner, supported the project by supplying data, endorsing the Green Book, disseminating information, giving advice and collaborating on the impact on policy.

To ensure proactive disaster risk reduction in settlements and to reduce the losses experienced from climate disasters, a new partnership between the CSIR, SANTAM, the Department of Environmental, Forestry and Fisheries (DEFF) and the National Disaster Management Centre (NDMC) has been established to support the roll-out, training and uptake of the Green Book.
